Description
I created this piece for the website of a German company, BitPalast. They wanted a very "Disney-esque" castle combined with elements associated with the digital age. The modeling of the castle was done in 3DSMax7 and rendered with Brazil. Compositing and photo manipulations done in Photoshop CS. Took about 35-45 hours? Just guessing.

I find it ironic that a German company wanted something based off the Disney castle, which itself was based off a German castle: Neuschwanstein

dark-girl:
I think the break-down was something like this: 5-6 hours research & sketching, 10-12 hours modeling, 10-15 hours making textures & materials, 2-4 hours tweaking lighting & render settings, 1 hour rendering passes, 10-15 hours compositing & painting over the renders.
I'm still slow at all of it. Getting faster, though
